About TanjiWeb
17 years of watching

Most agencies sell you a website. We build a system for earning a customer's trust in seconds — because that's the only thing that drives real sales.

The Journey
Built across two continents,
refined over 17 years.
Built first client websites as an American expat — focused on organic SEO and clear calls to action from day one.
Watched Google's Panda and Penguin updates punish sites built to game search — and double down on sites built for real users.
Rebuilt every design approach around the phone as the primary device — years before it became the industry standard.
As ad costs surged and returns shrank, refined the philosophy: less decoration, more conversion. Fast, clear, trust-first.
Brought 16 years of experience to serving Greater Houston small businesses — the community that deserves it most.
The Story
I started building websites in 2008 while living in London, England as an American expat. What struck me immediately was that the most successful businesses weren't the ones with the flashiest sites — they were the ones that understood the sales conversation happening online. A website isn't a brochure. It's the first handshake with someone who doesn't know you yet.
Back then, websites were simpler and search results were more organic. I focused on clean SEO, clear messaging, and a direct call to action. That formula worked — and the core of it still does.
Over the years I watched the internet grow in complexity: algorithms became more sophisticated as bad actors tried to exploit them, websites became bloated and over-designed trying to impress rather than convert, and social media fundamentally changed how people consume information. A new generation grew up with the internet and became the dominant consumer base — impatient, skeptical, and highly selective about what deserves their attention.
The businesses that kept winning weren't the ones spending more on ads. They were the ones with sites that loaded fast, communicated clearly, and answered the right question at the right moment. The best websites today do one thing above all else: they give visitors the confidence to take the next step.
“Trust must be earned from the start — and only then can we talk about what's on offer. Real skill is achieving both simultaneously.”
That philosophy is the foundation of every site we build at TanjiWeb. Not just a good-looking page — a system designed to earn trust in seconds and move visitors toward a clear decision.
What We Believe
The principles behind every site we build
Ad spend keeps rising. Returns keep shrinking. But opting out of the internet isn't a strategy — it's where trust is built and most purchase decisions are made today. Here's what guides every decision we make.
Trust is earned before the pitch
A visitor who doesn't trust you yet won't read your offer. The site has to establish credibility in the first scroll — then present the ask.
Seconds, not minutes
Today's consumer makes a binary decision — stay or leave — in under 10 seconds. Every design choice we make is optimized for that window.
Traffic isn't the problem
Most small businesses don't need more visitors. They need a site that converts the visitors they already have. Ads can wait.
Why Houston
Big-city energy.
Small-business heart.
Houston is one of the most diverse, entrepreneurial cities in the country — and most of the small businesses driving it don't have a web presence that reflects how good they actually are. That's the gap TanjiWeb exists to close.
We serve the Greater Houston area — Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, and the city itself. Local businesses deserve websites built with the same level of craft and strategy that enterprise brands take for granted.
